Toby Lewis a fine art, fashion and portrait photographer based in Bristol UK.

A life long photographer, his early interests were in abstracts and architecture. Starting mainly in black and white and developing his own film in the school darkroom. After a long hiatus during his career in software development, he rediscovered his 35mm camera soon after moving to Bristol. He then moved into digital photography, digital editing and eventually into studio photography.

Toby has a love of the art from the mid-19th century to early 20th century including the Pre-Raphaelites, Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Surrealism, Cubism, Futurism, and Expressionism. Often inspiration for his work comes from art and styles from these sources.

He likes figurative art and portraiture, feeling that images without people in them seem devoid of a subject.
